Custom problems

There's the girl I've been working on, a storm themed baby pony I've dyed, painted and rehaired. Problem is, I don't really like her :( I've been in the process of doing her for so long that now that she's done I just feel kinda let down, like she's just not what I wanted.

I think the big problem is I don't have a tail ribbon that would pull together the tinseled mane like I wanted, an deven if I did, does the tinsel even look good? Is it just bad hair styling?

Can you savvy people give me some advice?

I don't have much advice to give but I absolutely love her hair color and the tinsel with it. As far as making it more something you're happy with I don't know what to tell you. Just keep fiddling with her till she feels right.

Did you blend the tinsel and hair together or rehair them separately? They look separate. I think it would help if the tinsel was blended more in with the plugs of hair.

I'm personally a big fan of hair tinsel.  You're right, I think your tail ribbon should be something like a dark aqua blue or an emerald green.  I think if you're unhappy with her, try a different hair style first.  Maybe lay the hair over the tinsel so the tinsel peeks out from underneath.

I personally think she's quite pretty, but it's more important that you're happy with her.  At this point, I think you should just play with hairstyles and see how you feel after that.

I can only echo what others have said: try a new hairstyle first, then think of a new direction if you're still unhappy. Personally I really like her, the colors are great and I love the hair color and the tinsel.

I think she looks lovely, I really like the colours and the paint job! She has such a cute expression too, sweet yet playful in a slightly mischievous way, if that's possible. :D Perfect for a little storm cloud!

I like the tinsel on her but I second Maddie, it looks separate from the rest of the mane. I agree with the others though, I don't think there's anything wrong with her that wasn't fixed by small changes like a new hairstyle! What about a cloud of curls, with the tinsel blended in for some electric looking sparkle? :)

She looks amazing and if you like maybe you could paint clouds on her. :)

She's really quite lovely kiss.
Maybe a thinner ribbon on the tail (I do like the gold)? I would agree on blending the tinsel with the mane. The soft curl works really well and the blended colors are perfect compared to her body!
Would you consider adding a light touch of tinsel to the tail as well? Maybe you'd feel she's a bit more balanced.
