Crazy neck Maude Pie???

So, I just received the Maude Pie I ordered from TRU online.... and she's great! Her mane styling gives her a bit of a bald spot, but she's so cute I don't mind.... but there is ONE thing throwing me off. Her neck joint!!! IT'S INSANE  . Seriously, I don't know what they did different with her, but it's so loose!! You can hold her head and swing her, and her body will swivel around! It's bananas! This led me to wonder.... all you pony people who have Maude; is yours like this? Or is mine just buggy???

LOL OMG! Mine does that too! I had just got her in the mail Monday but hadn't opened her yet.

I need to figure out how to remove the flowers on her. I want her plain like on the show. Any ideas?

I  don't have Maud yet but I put my old Twilight head with bangs on a new body with wings and the head is loose like that. I wonder if hasbro used the new sculpt neck/plug with an old sculpt head on her?

Didn't someone notice recently that some of the newer ponies had the old thinner heads? (I can't for the life of me remember who's thread it was)
I guess if they're mixing the different body/head versions they might not fit properly, just well enough to pass their QC.

Well mine also turns very easily- the kind of nob-joint they are using it seems. But I don't think it is "loose" and there is no big gap between the head and the body which is really all I care about.

It's hard to capture the way it swings when trying to swing it myself and film, but I hope this gives those who wanted to see the general idea.

Oh, and I removed the flowers from my Maude just a moment ago. She looks SO much better without them. But the ones on her face will leave a faint yellow tint to her head because of the plastic difference. I tried to get it off, but I don't think you can.

LOL - thats kind a cool! I actually like that she is free  moving as it allows for more flexibility in posing. I hope this is how they do others moving forward.
