I really want Chrysalis, Maud and the CMC.  But I hate the whole mystery part.  I don't want to have to test my luck.

Ooooh. That Chrysalis looks great! I have really bad luck with the mystery minis too. I think I have 3 black Twilights now despite how many I picked up trying to get a Daring Do (which I never found).

Anyway, will these have the same alternate black versions or are they doing something different this time?

Same here. Unless I like the odds with this case, I'll just pass and lurk the Sales thread here or on eBay. The last wave really burned me when I really only wanted two or three characters.

usually they do it to where (for example): Per case/full set, one character may have 4 figures, one has 2 figures, one charcter that have one normal and a special variant per case, ect. with the semi-mandatory "only 1 in every two or three cases has this ultra rare figure".
(I know some Funko cases have that 1/144 chance of getting ______ figure, like with some Disney ones.)

Still haven't seen Wave 2 in the UK (not that I'm paying the usual UK prices for them), but I can't wait to see these coloured! I love the black bodies  and the matte finish these have <3

I haven't seen Wave 2 in the UK either. In fact, I only recently managed to finish collecting Wave 1! It's a little annoying being a series behind, but I'm still really looking forward to the release of these.

I'm pretty sure that's a given.  At least so far, there haven't been any mystery minis of characters that haven't already had regular sized vinyls.

I'll be severely disappointed if they decide, for whatever reason, to ruin that trend all of a sudden.  I doubt it, though.

I hope they announce (officially) Series 3 soon! I am keen to know the distribution. I hope they don't split them into 2 separate releases!

I also hope they keep with the trend of having large and small versions of the same.  I'm not familiar enough with Funko to know what they do with other collections, but it would be a serious bummer if they didn't come up with a large Chrysalis at some point.
