Russian G4 Chupa Ponies - Nirvanas?

OK, got a box of Russian capsule toys for the G4 line because honestly I love Kinder eggs, ponies and Russia, so the combo was a must have even if it is G4. Opened them with fellow collector friends and they were a lot cooler in person than expected so I think we will need a couple more boxes so everyone can own a full set  .

So my question is, would you count these as G4 nirvanas?  there is a Mexican chocolate capsule toy too, but the Russian is better if you ask me....

As for them being G4 Nirvanas I'd say no, probably all still made in China

They are cute! Russia has a great variety of these different little characters for sure - that we dont see anywhere else.

As others have said, certainly not Nirvana though Congrats on them!

I don't really like the Nirvana label.  It's pretty arbitrary, considering some Hong Kong ponies are considered Nirvanas (Raindrop, NSS Cupcake, alternate Birthflowers) while others aren't, even if they weren't sold in the US (Hopscotch, Baby Applejack, NSS Shady).

I think it makes more sense to talk about variants.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic.  Those little figures are SO cute!  I love Applejack's dynamic pose!

The nirvana label isn't straight forward since when the term nirvana was coined there still wasn't much understanding about some of the European releases. This means that some ponies like the ones you mentioned were put under the nirvana umbrella, when they are actually a regional exclusive rather than a true nirvana.
