Pony Doctors, please help diagnose my FF Butterscotch!

So, my mom picked up this FF Butterscotch for me at a yard sale (she knows little about ponies). Only $0.50, so it's no tragedy if she can't be saved, but based on the photos below -- is there anything that can be done/should be done with this pony? Her mane and tail show their age but are uncut. I'm not super well versed in the vagaries of pony cancer versus mold etc.

Anyway, please let me know your thoughts! Can she be saved?

Looks like she has a case of age spots. There's nothing that can be done to save her, unfortunately.

But that doesn't mean she has to be baited/tossed/etc. You could display her, age spots and all. That's great that the hair is uncut, at least!

Unfortunately I agree those are age marks/plastic breakdown - something you do see on a lot of Butterscotches. Its not fixable but that doesnt mean you cant still appreciate and display her Its lovely your mum tracked her down for you.

Yes, I definitely think that adds to how special this particular Butterscotch is, even with the age spots.

OK, so these spots are basically vinyl deterioration? And not some kind of mold I shouldn't expose other ponies to?

If not then I will keep her. I've never had (or seen in person) a FF pony before, so it was very cool to see something so "antique"

No not mould - ponies dont really get mould. Or if they do it does not stick around long. So they may have been the reason for the start of the break down but not the reason it looks the way it does So she will be fine to display along with other ponies.

Yep, I agree with everyone else. For some reason, FF Butterscotch is really prone to age marks. Cool that your Mom got her for $.50; that's pretty good.
