Lucky you, here in Paris it is the temperature at night, we are closer to 40°€ during the day. I dream of A/C in my building (30°C in my appartment) :hot:

It gets really hot and humid here in Virginia. It was over 100 degrees a week ago. :pout: Upper 80s is the high today, though, because it's been raining.

Use the blinds and curtains and keep them mostly closed to keep your room cooler. Works wonders for us. I also use my umbrella too, a great mobile shade.

It's hot here in Hungary too, can't tell numbers but it's not very bearable.

It's about 35° in my flat and maybe about 38 - 40° out in the sun :hot:

I really hope this is the last day, the heat is making me (and everybody else) really irritable and dozy at the same time, it's really annoying and difficult to work! It was funny though when I went into town today and noticed that tonnes of people were suddenly hanging out in the drugstore because it's the only shop that has A/C

The humidity that goes with it is terrible -.- It's 36 degrees now, and there will probably be thunderstorms later today/ this evening which will end it (hopefully)

Although I agree that is too hot, I very much wish that were a level of heat that was extraordinarily rare where I live. But I've seen it hit that during winter, where I live. (Granted, that was unheard of. lol)

I need to move to a place with a climate similar to Sweden's. lol

Its a cozy 78*F (25*C) here!!! It might rain today too! Its only going to be in the late 80's this week. Its warm, but not dreadfully hot. My area of Texas has weather similar to what I had in Indiana, its only been unbearably miserable here that one August maybe 2 years ago.

Today we are hittin' the water and having ice cream! :icecream:

As for keeping cool, every place down here overkills their buildings with AC. I was actually freeeezzziiinnnggg at work last night! Crazy, right!? xD I also keep blackout curtains on every window- keeps any heat out and the cool  in so my AC bill is pretty cheap, around $40 a month. Also I always have umbrellas with me! Its more for the light sensitivity than keeping out of the heat, my eyes and skin are very delicate. Ice cream and swimming in the shades at pools is my personal favorite way to keep cool! :3

My mom helped sew curtains for the kitchen so the sun isn't blazing and burning away and heating up the room we cook in!  :)

Yes it's HOT HOT HOT - this is our hottest week of the year.  So it's low 30's, high 20's, humidity between 10-30%.  For the Fahrenheit users, that's getting into the low 90's but sometimes climbs to mid 90's.

Dawn, I fully sympathize with you  :hot:

Use the blinds and curtains and keep them mostly closed to keep your room cooler. Works wonders for us.

I've been living in the dark for the past 5 days to no avail, I tried filling the bathtub with cold water, putting wet rags between the windows glass and the shutters, throwing water on the balcony, the temperature inside is still rising. Hopefully it should decrease a little this night so with opened windows, I may loose a °C and go back under 30°C

normally its normal for us to get in the mid-high 30s (^C) with a 40^ humidex, but this year its going back and forth. Weve gotton some cool fall like days, followed by a few days of extreme heat and back again.

They say that this year might be the hottest on record worldwide but its the opposite over here. Its actually quite interesting..kind of like we are trapped in this vortex bubble of a cut off Jetstream.

Personally, im not complaining. I don't do well with humid heat.  I cant breathe and get sick easily.

I hate summer heat with a passion! It's been 37°C today, and I've been alternating between a cold shower, splashing in a paddling pool and lying comatose on my bed all day long ... Make it stop, please!
