Displaying Blind Bags
« on: July 01, 2015, 08:22:52 PM »
I have great ways to display my regular ponies, but I haven't figured out a way to display my blind bags, other than to just line them up.  How do you do it? Any pictures would be great too.

we were out shopping yesterday and saw a small, plastic castle, perhaps you could find something meant for small toys to live in and display them like that.

a lot of people like to use nail polish or spice racks. they can be found on amazon for excellent prices

you could get a shot glass case and paste scenic pictures on the back walls and cover the shelves with felt or fake grass and props.

Mines are on the shelves of my entertainment center with Breyers behind them. Not sure what I'm going to do now though Since there's only 3 shelves and I've bought more waves recently.

I use my G3 Ponyville playsets... they are just the right size, and even have the hole in their hoof to hold them on to certain places.  Sadly, I have had to pack up all my collections so I don't have pics.

Mine are just lined up, most uncreatively ^^* Some are on boxes to give a little height. Good luck, I'm sure others here will have great ideas for you!

I built this display for myself when I realized that if I wanted "all of the boys" and most of the unique poses I would need an easy way of keeping up with them that felt somewhat grownup. 24x24 and it's almost completely full :

... so eventually I made this one (with spare parts left over to make two more just like it  ;) ) :

I put mine on the trim of my door frames like in my bedroom & bathroom door, it seems to work well, and the cute rainbow of ponies makes the room brighten :)

a friend from work built me two similar shelves recently like the small one you have, archidraca! I think he originally made them for his model trains, but it fits the blind bag ponies perfectly.

I like the idea of the door frames- that's a nice surprise! And if they fall on you, it's like a rainstorm of pony goodness!

I display mine in a homemade shoe organizer- I sewed a few more slots into the shoe organizer, cut them creatively and viola!

There's this thing that I got years ago at a yard sale. It's meant for hot wheels cars, but works great for combs and little accessories. It would be great for BB's too, but it's already full of other stuff. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any at stores. I looked online once, but they were more expensive than I wanted to pay. Maybe they've gotten cheaper or more common now?

I like these because you can hang them over doors and on little-used parts of the wall. It's also easy to move them in case a little kid comes over and tries to steal all of your tiny ponies. (She's three, and a bit of a terror with toys!)
Thanks so much to Calico_Star for her beautiful work on my Avatar!

Wow, you guys are so clever!  I will look for some shelving displays online and maybe at hobby stores too. Thank you, now I have some ideas!
