This wouldn't have taken so long to draw if I didn't keep crying

I think the reason this makes me cry is because as a kid I shipped them and I told my best friend in elementary school that Skywishes and Star Catcher were in love, and one day I will be too! and I had a wedding for them and she got really upset with me and said “They are girl ponies, you can’t marry girl ponies! Girls can’t be in love!” and I’ve collected G3 My Little Ponies since childhood and now 10 years later I know girls can marry girls and I know I’m a lesbian and I can revisit that hopeful time in my childhood.

 

Please no comments about your disagreement with the SCOTUS ruling making same sex marriage legal or your religious beliefs! I'm very uncomfortable with that and I'd rather assume everyone respects my sexual orientation and basic human rights here than find out some people I consider friends don't think I should marry one day.

This is a very sweet drawing! I love their expressions, there is so much interaction between the characters captured in their facial expressions and body language. Skywishes has a lovely dress too, and those butterflies are so pretty! Not to mention the subtle rainbow in the background. I really like the delicate colours you chose for this picture.

I have a g3 book with all these cute stories and fun images in them and you did such a kick butt job matching that feeling and staying true to the original art style.
It looks like the book producers just forgot to add in this as the last page with a cute little the end.
