I got Mirai Suenaga for my Birthday/ Christmas pressie this year. I told myself that she had to go up until Christmas; I don't know who I was kidding! She's my newest muse and she gets up with me every morning and gets "put to bed" (safe from my cats!) every night. I lover her Sooo muchers!

But, that's not why I am a geek. I have been corresponding with Danny Choo, the creator of Smart Doll since the arrival of my doll, after having a problem. (It wasn't even an issue, just a joint turned backward. Hooray for backwards joints!) I am giddy to be emailing back and forth with this man. This would be is why I am such a geek!

  And. I. Am. So. Happy!!!! I feel like such a ridiculous fangirl!!! So pleased to be discussing this fabulous doll with the man who designed and created her! I can't imagine that Sensei sleeps much if he corresponds with every customer who comes to him with questions or concerns. I feel so honored.

  Anyhow, I am LOVING my Smart Doll!! So much that I have decided that I will have to Kizuna next year

  At the moment I am trying very hard to restrain myself from buying a bunch of clothes for her as I am finding out that she, like so many resin dolls, can stain from dark clothing (including her awesome jeans!! D: Woe, woe!) and, but of course Culture Japan has light clothing available in stock. But, I'm right broke after this purchase and can't buy anything atm anyways! So, it hardly matters! But, my sewing machine is calling to me! LOL

  I have still yet to get any real studio quality pictures, but here are a few just playing around with her in and around the house. If I ever do live to get cool pictures of her out and about, I'll come back and update.

@ Barb, Thanks!! It's a book cover that I modded to make a short kimono for her. It's not finished, but who cares, it still looks okay.

Congrats Cherry!  And so jealous you got to correspond with Danny himself!  I went to one of his panels a couple of years ago and was just wowed by his ideas and take on the pop culture in Japan.  That, and his love for DDs!  ^_^  Hoping to get Eiji soon.

I adore Danny Choo's work! She photographs so well too. It's been a while since I heard anything though, I had no idea Kizuna and Eiji were available. I can't wait until the robotic version comes out too. I will buy 10 and move to a cabin in the woods. :V

Thanks, ya'll!! I am still over the moon for her. So much that I can confidently say that I will have to have Kizuma and Eiji in the future. Might not be for a while, but in the next couple of years! LOL

@ raydelsol I did some window shopping for her the other day and about choked when I totaled it! But, she needs those khaki cargoes!! And the canvas shoes if they ever restock..

I usually don't bond with my dolls *quite* like I have this one. She is the first doll that I've wanted to build an entire wardrobe for, just for the sole purpose of changing her outfits daily. She's very special!

I haven't gotten her back outside much to speak of; it's been rather wet here of late (which was good, we needed it!) But I've taken a few indoor pictures of her and posted them to Instagram, https://instagram.com/kcherryka/

I have a custom-made hoodie on the way for her. Thus, there will be more quality photos of her very soon!

I just realized I am not following you on Instagram! This has been fixed. I love her. I really wish the robot version was available, but I think that's aong way out. I've been watching a new show on AMC about synthetic people and AI (it's called Humans and it's super good) and instead of being freaked out, I just wish I had a dolly helper too! lol
