I'll get more pictures soon  But look! Their names are Woosie and Munchy, and they are SO friendly! Took food out of my hand outside their cage on the first day! And theyre getting along with everyone- although theyre so energetic and playful theyre annoying all my old girls I was worried at first because Punkin (our older albino girl) was very insistent on being the boss and was chasing the babies around so she could bully them. But it calmed down, and this morning when I woke up, Punkin and the babies were all cuddled together in a big pile :--)

First, the new cage we got for my girls- a kritter koncepts cage :--) their current cage is big enough for them but the fit is awkward and theres no room for more future rats.

I'm excited to get it all decorated. it will be much easier to make shelf liners for and is also a BRAND NEW cage as opposed to my martins rn which i get well used off of craigslist

But even MORE exciting...
The breeder i've been talking to had a litter born today... now I was planning on getting a dumbo or rex but... Guess who's getting a pair of Wistar Han rats??? :---) I'm paying a pretty penny for them but it's worth it... No pics yet as like I said, they were born today lol! but i'm SO EXCITED..... now to wait 6 weeks until they can come home........

Also hey, rat topic, so if anyone wants to post pics of their own rats or cages...... I wont complain

Congrats!! I feel your excitment, I recently got a ferret! :-3 I absolutely LOVE putting together up animal enclosures and decorating them with fun stuff!!! Im sure the fuzzies will be so happy!!!

Yes! I'm excited especially because in my previous cage, the shelves had cut outs for the steps so i had to make some very odd shaped shelf liners, but these will be easy because theyre just rectangles :--) Also more room for my girls' wheel!

Although, theres no pan at the bottom for litter so ill have to use fleece, and hopefully litter train them :--) but rats are smart.

I so need a new cage. Mine is literally falling apart but I don't have a rat, I have a chinchilla.

I used to have rats 5 total but the most we had was three at once. I do miss them. We found the cage bottom on the side of our road  And then I spent a few hours in high school bending high quality chicken wire into a nice square shaped cage. It was a good size for them and we had a hammock in there too. This cage looks amazing though!

Dumbo rats are my all time favorite My dumbo had a few black spots on her body, and she was white Her name was Faerie and we trained her and Topi my fattie brown rat to jump on the couch
