My Little Pony The Movie G3?

I have read a little about how in the beginning years of G3 a great movie was planned to be released. It never came out. What is the story behind it and why wasn't it released?

But in the beginning of the line there were little pamphlets inside of the pony's box advertising a movie coming soon! Not sure why it never came to fruition! Would have loved to see one! I know my theater played princess promenade for a short while!

I am quite sure that there must be some kind of a script of the movie, because it was so close to be released and pretty much everything must had been ready.

I've always wonderd this. It wasn't Princess Promenade was it? That wasn't really even full length as a move should be.

I was wondering if it was supposed to be a movie, but ended up being either that or one of the other short videos after a lot of changes. :/

Yep I remember this back in the day, wow I sound old, I rember the cotton candy cafe commircal and the CGI they used, I guess the CG was a test run. So whether the movie was to be CG or animated it fell through..
So we got a charming birthday promo tape.

I'm sure I remember reading at the time that it was supposed to be the story of how Baby Pink Sunsparkle came to live in/own the Celebration Castle, so it definitely wasn't any of the stories that actually were released on VHS tape/DVD.  I think there were some storyboard sketches floating around back in the day, but sadly I didn't have my own computer back then or a means of saving them.  I've often wished that I could see them again but nobody else seems to saved them either.

Oh lancer I had thoese pictures! The computer crashed tho..man! I wish I still had them I recall a lot of hot air baloons, pony expreshions and a castle shetch.

Yes!! I remember that now too about baby sparkle! I also think it was supposed to be in theaters in October?

Well if anyone knew to hack extreamly well they could be recovered. Everything you put on the internet never goes away it just gets coded difrently and stored. So the old website can be recovered but it needs someone really good
