I've been asking around to see if anyone has any in their yard, lol. Living in the middle of nowhere, you'd think it'd be easier to find, haha!

I'm not a rabbit owner myself, but I am in the same house as one. My uncle has two dwarf rabbits in an outdoor hutch. They're such cute little things, and so soft! My uncle's been working on building them a bigger hutch this week(It's already a good size, but he wasn't happy with the construction of it when he was done.) Looking nice so far. It's nice sometimes to be able to enjoy an animal without having to be responsible for care. I get all the petting and none of the work.

I grew up with rabbits, but my dad and stepmom always took care of them, and they lived in hutches outside, so the housebunny thing was a WHOLE NEW WORLD for me when I got my boys. The most I've had were 4 inside at one time...that was insane, hahahaha

Honestly I had no idea that keeping a bun alone with no other bunnies, outside in a hutch was somewhat cruel until I was an adult and looked into adopting rabbits (I had become obsessed with the idea of getting a Giant bun). I love that so much helpful information is now available online, and I LOVE the House Rabbit Society!
No- not a member there but it looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, I adopted both of my buns when they were old, so they did eventually die of old age (although I think Uma, Dave's wife, died of a broken heart after losing him). Without getting into a downer story- I haven't had the heart to adopt new buns, they definitely require some serious dedication!I do miss having them around though- they were so intense and sensitive- and yet also so silly and funny- (especially Dave, the big goofball). Maybe one day when we have fewer animals to occupy us I'll get some new bunny friends...
I have a bunny too! I'm so glad to know there are others of us out there, hahah! They are such cuties, and wonderful pets for small apartments like ours. This is Rupert: http://rrruperrrt.tumblr.com/ <3
