I don't think either series has had 12 characters (only counting the black figures, not any of the exclusives), so that list could easily be all of them.  Actually, this would mean that series 3 will have most characters.

Series 1 had ten, series 2 had seven.

I really hope there are variants for Luna, Celestia and Chrysalis!  I've decided to only collect variant versions of the mystery minis from now on, and I'd love glow in the dark or colored versions of those three!

Gonna try my luck today and swing by the mall after work to see if HT has any of the CMC figures.

It seems pretty random from the sounds of it.  I've seen people say that they've seen combinations of only two of them, but never all 3.  When I went to Hot Topic yesterday, I saw Sweetie Belle and a ton of Apple Bloom, no Scootaloo.

My store only got in one case (6) of Apple Bloom. Hopefully the others turn up soon

The stores around here got Apple Bloom Friday of last week and Sweetie Belle Monday/Tuesday this week but no Scootaloo yet.

Glitter pony luck was on our side today!  I love glitter Sweetie Belle, she's too cute!

I also bought another regular Sweetie Belle to trade with a friend who bought a Scootaloo for me.

Maybe we can help clear up that confusion! What are you confused about, exactly?

There's always a chance to find glitter variants of the vinyls at Hot Topic. About half of the glitter variants I own were found in-store. I usually call around and specifically ask the employees if they have glitter variants, some places are nice enough to hold the figures until I can pick them up (I just did that yesterday for glitter Sweetie Belle), but this isn't the case for every HT.

Once the exclusivity period is up and figures start showing up in other stores, you can also find glitter variants there. I've found glitter Big Mac at Barnes & Noble before.
