[Done] Should I de'streamer' my Crystal Twilight brushable?

I have brought a Crystal Empire Twilight Sparkle brushable a couple years ago, and I've been not brushing her all that much for a while. Up until now, of course.

Problem is what it has always been, those hideous streamers in her mane. You know, the ones that are supposed to be the 'crystal' effect and are pretty much unbrushable. I'm thinking about removing them altogether to make her easily brushable and more pretty altogether.

Problem is that I don't know how should I do it. Anyone experienced with toys could lend me a helping hoof?

You mean the tinsel? It's quite easy to remove, you just have to carefully cut each individual strand off with a craft knife. At least, that's what I did with my Celestia and Luna.

de-tinseling a pony is pretty common in many Gens. Twilight is so common that it's pretty much up to you if you want to put the work into removing all the tinsel in her mane xD

I've de-tinseled a pony before (only 1 pony).. there is a few ways to do it. Pulling it out with tweezers at the base of the tinsel or using really small scissors to trim it.

I agree that she is certainly common enough that its nothing to worry about if you decide to remove the tinsel. But on the other hand she is so easy to find without the tinsel you may prefer to try and find her without it to start with.

It took around two, two and a half hour to completely rid her of the thing but it absolutely worth the effort, she looks gorgeous!
She still looks like she needs a good hair wash, though.
