What size zip ties do you use?

Trying to find some cable ties or zip ties for re-hairing.  I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the sizes there are!  What's the best size for securing adult tails?  (And baby tails?)  The ones I'm looking at are 2.5mm wide and 3.6mm...

I use 2.5mm for G1 and G3 babies and G4 and 3.6mm for adult G1 and G3. I also use 2.5mm for G2. Sometimes though I have put tails in place with the smaller size on bigger ponies and it has worked okay, too, I just leave the end of the zip tie a bit longer than usual so it has no chance of popping out.

I just buy a multi pack of sizes and use whatever I feel like will work best when I fold over a tail I usually use a small one in the fold of the tail and then a larger size around the tail itself to make sure it's big enough it can't be ripped through the tail hole.
