Yay Sweden won! I really didn't think we would win. Especially not so soon after Loreen 2012.

Mums-Måns for the win :-D

Oh yeah! My 11-year old daughter and I were screaming during the voting. It was so exciting! The advantage of living in the US is that the show is on at noon so we were having lunch while watching :D It was epic during the UK's voting when the crowd started cheering "Sweden, Sweden" before the 12 was announced.

I began watching, and then channalsurfed and found Snakes on a Plane and it was much more fun than Eurovision, lol. But I did see the last ten minutes and was pretty surprised to see Sweden in the top. I've never really liked Måns but the song was suprisingly good, and catchy! ^^

Kaoskat: Eurovision is a music competition between the countries of Europe and broadcast allover the world. It has been a yearly thing since 1956 and only gets bigger and bigger with more countries wanting in. People can vote on any country except their own.

Omg... I laughed so hard at the Dutch lady who was giving the points XD She was wearing the dress our singer was going to wear at first, but half the country got antsy because of the 'gap' and started to make fun of it. So she didn't go with it.

I........ Have no idea what that is....

Imagine if every state in the US spoke a different language (just about) and all entered one singer and one song in a national singing competition every single year...and then open voting up to the country to decide on their favourite. Change out states for countries and the country wide vote to one that spans all of Europe. Add in politics (this is Europe after all some countries are going to vote on mass for one another), a lot of dodgy song choices, crazy performances and the weirdest mix of cultures (entries span from Iceland to Israel) and you have Eurovision :P Every European country can enter and then the whole of Europe (plus Australia this year) get to vote! Oh yes...and its all live of course!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
