2007 MLP Fair Exclusive Way Overpriced

So normally I see the 2007 MLP Fair Exclusive Pinkie Pie for around $40-$50 on eBay. I won an auction earlier this week at $18 for one completely mint and sealed in the plastic bag! 

I feel like I got a fantastic deal, since like I said, she usually goes for $40-$50 MIB on eBay. However, I also came across one being sold for $428.50. 



What in the world is the seller thinking? I can't be the only one who thinks that's WAY, WAY, WAY overpriced, right?

Btw, can't remember who the eBay seller is, but if it's someone on the Arena and they see this, I apologize if I seem rude or harsh. I'm just shocked at the cost.

Well, technically they can ask whatever they want. Perhaps that's what they truly feel the item is worth... Hopefully no buyers feel the same way Or maybe they mistyped $42.85?

But yeah some of the SDCC ponies have ridiculous prices.  I saw a white Pony Project Pony on eBay for about $150.  Then I saw one end for $12.50

$42.85 seems like a strange random price on it's own haha.

oh I know, I'm talking about just a normal G1. (but Nirvana's are so pretty )

I see this a lot on amazon, not just for ponies.  Someone will put $1,000 for something that's not even worth $1.

What in the... Why do people do stuff like that? I feel bad for the people who don't realize what stuff is actually work and pay wayy more than what something is really worth.

On a random side note, I paid for the one I won on eBay on the 21st and it hasn't been marked shipped yet and I haven't heard anything from the seller.
