I love how encouraging everyone is here! 

I'm sharing some watercolors I did a little bit ago for the last MLP convention I attended. I love working in watercolors, it's just a bit more time-consuming than colored pencils.

I absolutely LOVE the one you did of Rosedust! You've got some amazing talent. Are you by any chance going to the fair and selling any?

These are lovely, I especially like Rosedust! You painted her iridescent wings beautifully. Watercolours are so much fun to work with!

Yes, I'm going to be at the fair this year! I went to the one in Indy a few years back and didn't do well with my G1 paintings...I was only was able to sell G4 paintings. But I was only doing on-site watercolor commissions, and I wonder if the prices were too high for many? I'm going to try on-site colored pencil sketches this year as well for a lesser amount and see if that gets more G1 commissions.

I would also welcome any suggestions on which ponies to do...no obligation to buy, but I really only pull from my own favorites, so it would help to hear other fan favorites as well.

I'm so glad you love them...it's encouraging to get such great feedback!

At the last fair I was selling the above paintings (which would fit in an 8 x 10 sized matte) for @ $30. For a watercolor commission sized to fit in a 5 x 7 matte (about postcard sized), I was charging $20. Those were done same day as ordered in about 1 hours time (depending on how busy it was).

The pencil sketches will likely be about the same postcard size, also drawn same day ordered (unless I get a bunch of orders), and I was thinking of charging $10. Also, the Medley I posted earlier is done on a small card-sized paper stock and fits in a little plastic sleeve. Thought I would charge maybe $3 - $5.

Does that all sounds reasonable? Art of any kind seems so difficult to price! I do wonder if part of my lack of sales was that it was my first convention, and my table display felt cobbled together. I had a mish-mash of stuff, and not much order to how it was displayed.

Thanks for pony suggestions...I know them all but am unsure what the 'mo' stands for w/Hollywood?

Awwwww. I love that one of baby cotton candy. That's my favourite g1 hasbro art pose. It's beautiful in watercolor.
