Twisted Fairy Tale Swap (Warning: There may be a some level of disturbing-ness!)


This isn’t meant to be a simple paint job. You have plenty of time to work on your ponies, so take your time and think outside the box. Research your partner and the character you’re going to make and don't feel limited by Disney interpretations of these characters. Try your hand at things you may not do- sculpting, sewing, etc. Be brave and have FUN with it.

Some ponies in this swap will also include gore and bloodiness, it's not required but be sure to include it in your form if you only want a gothic / "monster high" type or zombie / gore.

Swap Rules

1. You must have at least 5 positive Arena feedbacks, and no negative feedback, and have been an arena member for at least 4 months.
2. All swappers must have made and posted customs within the last 4 months.
3. You must have pictures of at least 3 of your most recent customs to show the quality of your work. This is a skill based swap and I need to know where to put you. (If you cannot ship internationally, this may affect who you are partnered with.)
4. There will be check in points along the way and you MUST check in. If I cannot get ahold of you for check-ins you will be omitted from the swap, will not receive a pony, and appropriate feedback shall be left.
5. Include the   icon after your arena name in the sign up form to let me know you've read the rules.
6. Life happens to everyone. If, after you join, you find you are unable to complete your pony, for any reason, please PM me immediately! I would much rather know sooner than later so I can work on getting a replacement partner.
7. Follow the Shipping Guidelines below.


DEADLINES:
Sign ups: Now through May 15* (or until there are 20 participants)*
Partners May 29 (possibly earlier if this fills up fast)
1st photo check in July 3rd
2nd Photo check in July 31st
Final photo check in by Aug 14th
Ship by Aug 21st - Finished ponies need to be approved before mailed! So you won't get the full address for your partner until the final check in.
*If someone drops out last minute or went MIA for mailing- their partner WILL still receive something, even if I have to personally make them something myself.

Shipping:
Customs must be well packed for shipping.
Do not use newspapers, paper towels or colored tissue paper in direct contact with the completed custom. (It can stick or cause discoloration.)
Do not ship customs that are sticky/tacky or not fully dry.
Do use some sort of padding like bubble wrap, white tissue paper, peanuts, etc.
*KEEP your receipt/tracking numbers when you mail your custom off, this may be the only proof you have in the event it is lost. This rarely happens, but it has happened.*

I'm considering too, as summer is a bit bad for me money-wise but last time was such a fun swap...

there's still time to think it over.
It is a challenging swap, so I want people to be sure.
on the other hand, I think it needs to have at least 10 participants to make it a go. there seemed to be more interest in the interest thread... so we'll see.
if summer is bad, we can try again right after all the holiday swaps, turn of the year next year...

My problem is I want to signup but I am moving on june 20th and all my stuff is packed up so I couldn't start working on the actual pony until after then.. so I might have to pass.. Sorry ladies this is one of my favorite swaps too..

I am going to call off the Twisted Swap for now. It just seems like it's bad timing for a lot of people.   

I will try it again around turn of the year, after holiday swaps. I want people to be excited about it, not wondering if it'll be too much stress for time/money/resources

Maybe it works better as a Halloween time swap when people are getting into the twisted mood.
