Ok so I FINALLY dug out my airbrush that I used in HS (I graduated in 2001, just to give you an idea as to how long it's been sitting in a box)  The paint had all dried up, so I tossed that, but my airbrush works!  And even better, so does the little air compressor!  I only ran water through it first but I'll be buying some new hoses since the plastic on them is going gooey.  (It happens to other stuff than ponies LOL)
My goal is to get another airbrush (I would DIE for a double action airbrush), some airbrush books, new hoses and a new little wrench.  Thankfully all my glass paint bottles survived!

But on the sad side, my dads 40+ year old airbrush had rusted shut.. ah well.

Still I'm soooo stoked!

Yay! So glad the airbrush and compressor still work well for you. The hose replacement is a minimal cost compared to like the compressor so super happy its also not to expensive to fix up.

I *wish* I could get mine out.  I don't have a compressor though (I got it in college and the room required had air compressors built into the walls).

I remember prepping it well though..there was this gel stuff you added at the end to preserve it.  So im sure it still works...I just cant use it without a compressor >>

ok, so I've done up a couple ponies.  Full body repaints and simple stuff.  I took a Royal Rose, and gave her a metallic green sheen.  Then I spraypainted some orange pony all black then gave her a metallic green coat and it looks like an oil slick!!  The camera doesn't pick up the color all that well, it has to be seen in the sun for it to work.

It's been ages since I used an air compressor! (After trying it, it wasn't my favorite choice for painting tbh. Never used one on ponies.) Glad that you're putting it back to use again!
