For anyone who collects props for their BJDs, I found this adorable My Life As shopping basket tonight at Walmart.  It's perfectly scaled for MSDs and came with a ton of 1:4 scale food... and it was only $8!

They also had a shopping cart which I intend to pick up next payday.

That basket is adorable!
Also, anyone else ever just have a eureka moment when your other skills mix up with dolls?  I'm just enjoying that my random for fun colored pencil drawings on black paper worked as an amazing background for my hujoo freya!

Ooh your freya is lovely!

My little bluebird got her proper wig today - it's a lot of hair but it's lovely on her. Now she's flying high!

That's an awesome wig, NoD!  It totally suits her.  Also, when does a wig ever look that good on the first go?  lol

Now that I'm back home in Colorado, one of the members of the local doll group hosted a welcome back meet at the botanic gardens!  It was really sweet.  I only took 4 dolls with me, but I got some cute shots.  :)

And my Dollzone Angela.  I don't know what direction I am going to go with her blushing yet, so she doesn't have a name.  But she's stinking adorable anyway!

I took more pics, but these were my favorites of each doll.  The others are on my Flickr.  :)

I wish that MY hair looked like Coralie's! But since zoos don't like crazy hair, it's back to blonde for me lol. I didn't tell you! I just heard that I got an education job with the Denver zoo!!!!!!!! :squee: So definitely no rainbows for me lol.

The BJD group here is pretty active. It was awesome to see them all again. Especially the woman who organized the welcome home meet. She is awesome. :D

Oh congratulations!  Zoos don't like crazy hair? I would have thought that would be the PERFECT job to have crazy hair-

When I started working at the Indy Zoo, I had dyed my hair to a dark brown with a purple gradient.

But HR wasn't very excited about it, lol.  So I had to tuck it into my zoo hat until the purple faded to grey and finally back to my natural darker blonde.  I left Indiana at the end of June and miraculously managed to get a similar job at the Denver Zoo!  I suspect that they will have similar hair rules, so I'm sticking to blonde.  But I loved my purple hair!  Even though my neck and shower and pillowcases were all stained purple for at least a week, lol.  I would love to actually have rainbow hair, but it doesn't work in a lot of professional settings and I don't really have the money to maintain it.  I've honestly debated saving up enough money for a nice rainbow wig just to wear when I feel like having rainbow hair lol.  I spent about $200 on my cut and color for the purple (my hair had been in ROUGH shape), so full rainbow would be even more.  I could definitely get a wig for that price lol.

@NoDivision: Oh my, that is one adorable little bluebird! She is so cute! Is that a Soom doll?

@Zennabug: I really adore Coralie's wig! Adorable rainbows - what is not to like! What kind of doll is Coralie by the way? She is really sweet!

I took a couple of new photos of my little girl, Teddie - she is finally starting to see daylight again after being tucked away in her box for a longer period of time (much longer than I like to admit...).

Thank you! Yes, she has gone through many different styles over the years - but this is what I think suits her best :)
