So I've become quite obsessed with the G1 mlp comics lately and I've just managed to buy 54 comics for £52 including postage That's less than £1 each! I'm not sure which issues they are yet but hopefully they should arrive tomorrow so i shall post pics as soon as i can so excited!

Awesome Haul on those comics!  I definitely want to see pics of those when you get them. I like the variations in some of the ponies characters from the TV show.

I'm kinda...in two minds about this. I'm happy they've gone to a collector, but I was changing machines to my PC to bid on some of those comics in their original auctions and when I did, the auctions had gone and the seller had obviously taken a private offer to buy them.

I realise this isn't against ebay rules if it is a BIN, but I was really quite upset that they had gone in that short space of time, without giving anyone else a chance to bid on them...I wish you'd let the auctions run their course.

quite a strange story actually as i didn't offer to buy them all on a buy it now, i asked how much combined postage would be a if i won them all and she asked if i would be willing to pay for them straight up as she needed the money. I usually wouldnt ask for a buy it now price as i also get very annoyed by it!

I'm kinda relieved, then, to hear that that was the situation. If she offered, then that's a bit different. In which case, I rescind my complaint xD. I tend to agree that making private offers on auctions is a bit sucky because it stops everyone else from having a chance to bid and I've seen it happening quite a lot lately on pony stuff I've been looking at. I don't mind being outbid, but I don't like having the CHANCE to be outbid taken away from me, if that makes sense?

I've also been collecting comics a long time xD so I was excited to see the lots up, and then totally gutted they'd gone within that short space of time. I'm missing such a specific number and most of them early, that they don't come up that often.

In the circs, though, you couldn't really do anything else, could you?
