http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MelusineA popular option for mermaid ponies is to hack off their back legs and sculpt a tail from clay, but I don't yet have any examples of sculpting in my pony portfolio, so I didn't want to have my first time be for a swap, in case it didn't turn out. So I thought about alternate ways to depict Melsuine, so I settled on the removable twin-tailed dress. In this way she can transform from a regular pony to a mermaid.

The dress is two layers of sheer fabric with metallic silver thread detailing, forming fish scale patterns. There is a front snap closure, and there are irridescent gems glued on to symbolize her connection with water.

Her symbol is a wyvern, since many versions of the legend do involve her turning into a dragon. She is rehaired with Dollyhair Diamond, Buttercreme, Tiramisu, and Mermaid.
As a bonus, I made for Oniontart some little stickers of Melusine in the style of the G1 puffy stickers. visitors can't see pics , please

Wish I could join more swaps because I really do love doing these, but I need to focus on my job a bit more in the coming months.
