Sailor Moon merch in Japan stores?

I know there are a few Sailor Moon fans on here so I thought I'd give this query a go. Anyone know what physical stores in Japan sell the new Sailor Moon merch? I've tried searching but I only come up with online stores (which doesn't help me). Do you think the standard anime/manga stores (like Manadrake) would sell the merch or would I have to go looking else where? Any ideas?

Depends on what you are looking for merchandise wise. I've read that places like Kiddyland, and Animate do.
Manadarake will sell some but its hit and miss depending on the day. Was there something in particular you were trying to get? I can better help that way.

Well Mandarake and Kiddyland are on my shops to visit so that's good. I'm mainly looking for the new merch that has come out recently to celebrate the anniversary. Things like the pretty boxes, bags, brooches etc... Examples http://sailormoon.wikia.com/wiki/Sailor_Moon_20th_Anniversary_Merchandise

You may wanna go visit Animate,Gamers, and Village Vanguard for the brooches, stationary, and such. (kiddyland will should have these things but they go quick) If you want bags I've ordered from department store Isetan and they have a gorgeous clothing and accessory line going on right now.

Thanks for the info! I'll add the stores to my list. Would love the clothes but being a big kiwi girl I doubt I'd fit them. Maybe I'll just go and drool over them.

Kiddyland was packed with Sailor Moon merch when I was there in December - wands, transformation stuff, plushies, brooches, etc. They had a limit on one of each per person though, probably to deal with demand and curb resellers. Even little anime shops in the subway stations had some stuff like socks and pens though, so you should be able to find plenty!

Not a problem! I hope you find everything your looking for while your there.(so grab the new Star Locket its pretty and like the 90's version ) I'm so excited you get to go see those places in person, please take pics ( when you can, so places don't allow). There's also a Sailor Moon Cafe going on right now you may want to see if its still running when you get there.

Theres one that just opened up that is only up for a few weeks related tot he new anime.  I saw it on Kotaku--they sell purses and such. Pretty make up...something?

Might be worthwhile to try to find the store name <3

The café would be awesome but I'm not there until the last week of May so looks like I just miss it. I'll definitely be taking photos - hopefully they'll allow me (I'll have to ask my Japanese sensei how to ask).

Melody - The SM shop you mentioned is called  Girls Love Mode: Let's Prism Power Make Up but was only open for a week in 2014... However it was done by the dept store nemubones mentioned Isetan so maybe they still have some of the clothes still.

So cute only thing that would make it better is the Outer Senshi and their Rods and Talismans.
