I wasn't sure who currently owned the rights to the Rainbow Brite cartoon, but I finally ended up asking Hallmark on Twitter, who made/makes the toys.

Me: @Hallmark Since you brought back Rainbow Brite toys, is there any chance that the cartoon and movie from the 80s could get rereleased?

Hallmark: Not at the moment, but tune in to @FEELN & http://www.rainbowbrite.com/ for new Rainbow Brite episodes. -ke

I may or may not have a bootleg DVD of the original series and a DVD burner......

They have re-released the movie quite a few times, I know I bought it on dvd just a few years ago for $10 at Target.  I think there are no movies to buy right now since Hallmark is trying to make some headway getting people to sign up for Feeln (like netflix) - if you get that, you can watch the old movie and the newer revamped cartoons.

I just got the Starlite plush yesterday cause I have no impulse control, and then I bought an adorable little plush fox.

Welp! So much for impulse control! I bought ALL the plushes last weekend! Well, not the large RB doll, but y'know the itties and Starlite! Squeeeee wait until you see them set up in my dollhouse!

I love the Twink plush and the mini RB but I agree, that Starlite looks like a rainbow haired dinosaur hybrid

Well we're missing Stormy and Moonglow too (although I guess not really color kids).  I think Murky and Lurky would be cute too
