Do you buy G4 ponies that were copied from G3?

I just noticed yesterday I have G3 Skywishes and now she is a G4. I wasn't going to get G4 Skywishes but I might now since I have the G3. I want a G3 and G4 Minty. So I guess my answer in the poll is depends on the character.

I do buy them but I prefer that if they are going to re-use G3 characters for G4 they update the style of the cutie mark. I just don't like the outlined, cartoon-y designs of many of the G3 symbols. I think all the brushable re-vamps so far look ok but there are a few BB ones that just don't look right stylistically to me because the symbol was pretty much copy/pasted from G3.

G4 pony that's not a character on the FiM show? Sold... I would just adore miniature versions of my favourite G3 ponies if Hasbro got off their behinds and made them. I love Minty and Rainbow Flash, and I'd happily buy the likes of Butterscotch, Sweetberry, Kimono, Periwinkle, Lulabelle, Star Catcher, Star Shimmer, etc.

I think multi-generational ponies are pretty cool.  I only have Blossomforth at the moment because I kind of fell out of collecting G4s, but I would really like to get G4 Minty and maybe some others.  (I do have some blindbag G3/4s, though.)

I really like that they made G4 Sky Wishes a pegasus.  I'll bet she'd been wishing for that for a long time!

Yes, and I like how they made some of them unicorns and pegasus in the transition.  G3 was sadly lacking on that front.   I'd be even more excited about some of my favorite g1 in G4 form.

I most definitely do! I love G3 and seeing ponies transcending prior generations is awesome considering how Hasbro has only kept I dunno... Applejack and Minty under their belts all these years? It's sad how many older-gen ponies will probably never officially see the light of day again whether it's just a simple nameslap, homage, or an outright update. I adore the copious amounts of brand-new unique ponies like everybody else, but seeing familiar names and faces is always nice, too. I also don't mind G3 ponies being recycled for G4 ponies because it adds to the severe lack of variety in G4's toyline.

I don't buy every G4 pony, just the ones that I like the most. Minty and Wysteria are a couple of those ponies, so yes, but it depends on the character.

Well considering the fact that I don't usually buy G4s yet when I found out about the existence of G4 Minty I immediately wanted her, the answer would be yes. I also kind of want Skywishes as well.

I wouldnt say I would buy them no matter what. But I do really like a lot of G3 designs - symbols, colour combinations and just general creativity. So the chances are yes I would grab them up

I would say yes also. But as far as G4 I do tend to stick with characters outside the core characters. I flipped when I saw Wysteria at Target and that pretty got me to start buying G4s for me. I didn't know about Skywishes till I saw her at the store. I don't collect the blind bags so I didn't know about Minty....I hope she gets a brushable!
