I can't help but think they will look better with the ribbon separated. I do like how they made the Zapcodes match the pony better.

It's a weird gimmick, but I'm a sucker for new Rarity merch, so I'll probably get her.

I'm partial to the argument that these are just being put out to sell their codes in this upcoming mobile app, and once that's over with, they can move on to other characters. Time will tell if it's right or not, of course, but in the meantime these are pretty easy to read as contractual obligation and nothing more.

The hair looks a lot better here. I dunno what they were thinking when they took the stock photos because it is not atractive. You would think they would take a little more effort than just popping them out of the package.

That's what's throwing me off!  The hair in the packaging looks terrible.

I'm not up on the new ponies, but they look like the exact same ponies you can get in a baggie and Walmart for $3, but with an extra symbol and a ribbon in their hair.  Major gimmick.  BUY ME 'CAUSE I HAZ EXTRA SYMBOL AND RIBBON! *facepalm*

OH that symbol works on your phone... yeah MAJOR gimmick. 
And a bracelet, which will probably be lost immediately if the package is opened.

This is the one time I will say that it makes sense for them to rerelease the mane 6.  They're pushing this new phone app/game, and why wouldn't the main characters from the show be the first you can unlock?  It's boring to see them re-re-re-re-re-released, but I'll give them a pass this time around.

That ribbon though... that's weird.  Still not sure if I like it or not.
