Awesome, and I am glad you appreciated it!  I also wanted to remind everyone that your gender is legitimate regardless of how well you "pass" to others, if you bind, if you physically transition, and no matter what you wear. Your gender is valid.

Happy....... Ok, is this a real day or just a day only recognized by this post? I ask because I usually get all the random holidays I've never heard of come across my news feed on FB and this one hasn't been there and I do not want to look like more of a clueless goof than usual by wishing someone a happy day of visibility and them having no clue what I'm talking about..... Anyway, Happy Day Of Visibility!

I'm 32 and FTM. Just came out to my mom a few days ago actually... it went so much better than I expected that it doesn't seem like it happened at all. I'm mostly out online and have been for, eh, almost a year? Currently pre-everything. Waiting for my existing medical issues to be dealt with *sigh* BUT I'm more hopeful about starting hormones sooner rather than later now that my mom knows. I'm also only 3 hours away from one of the best top surgeons in the country so, that's awesome.

For me it was one of those, I always knew but I didn't know what it was I knew. When I was a teenager I spent a whole summer passing as a boy. It made me feel great but I never knew why. That would have been around 1998. I'm sure if the internet had been back then what it is today, I would have transitioned a heck of a lot sooner

I did not know about this day. I've heard of 20th november before though. I hope everybody trans and nonbinary had a wonderful day and wish for a day when the words "coming out" is no more, but people are free to be themselves without hiding or fear.


With that said, BlackCurtains, I'm glad of the positive news about your mom Hope everything goes your way.

I am so happy this is a thing, it's made of so many different kinds of awesome! I am FtM but not particularly loud about it, but today I feel it's imperative to be loud and proud... also cake. I think this occasion seriously calls for some cake.
