Price Check Silver Rain 2005/6

Trying to find out if it's worth my last few dollars to buy a 2005/6 Silver Rain pony in a good, played with condition. Is it a common pony or worth parting precious pennies for?

I don't know if she's that hard to find, but I do know that she is rather sought after. I paid mine about 3 euros.

While highly sought after, hypothetically she is not more rare than any of the other ponies that would have come out at the same time.  She is not a store exclusive, although there was only one release of her, making her more rare than say... Pinkie Pie, who has many releases.  Regardless, many units would have been made and sold.

If you are not too picky about condition, I think it would be worthwhile to hold out until you can find her at a lower price.  I don't think $15-$20 for her is necessarily fair if the condition is not utterly top-notch (no rubs to those darn gradients).  She does turn up in 'bait' lots or group lots now and again on e-bay, if it's auction-style you might see the price go up a bit if she's in the lot, but even still, I think I paid about $2 for a very played with version of her very recently in a lot with other ponies (total cost of the lot worked out to about $2 per pony).

Most G3s are common but this girl is pretty and popular - I would wait for a nice version to come along as even in minty condition she is not really going to be that expensive.

Thank you! I Bought it with the musical hot air balloon. I just wanted to know if I should keep her out of reach accept for when I play with my girl.

I bought mine for about $7-8, but this was before G3 ponies were discontinued. I'd expect to see her around $10 now, because she's somewhat sought after. I love her colors, though =)

Silly me, half asleep on the internet is not a good idea. I was thinking of Desert Rose, which I picked up with the hot air balloon. I haven't bought Silver Rain. Though I am interested in knowing about Desert Rose too.

Yup, that's American dollars. I wouldn't pay more than maybe $15, and that only if she was in mint condition. A de-boxed Silver Rain should be around $8-12. It might save money to get her in a lot, but if you want her in really great condition, single's the way to go.

Desert Rose will often depend on whether or not her hair has faded. But most of the time you should manage to get her for the $5 mark when loose if her hair is still nice.
