Styling tips for the 8 inch brushables?
« on: March 27, 2015, 01:03:15 AM »
I have the large 8 inch Rarity brushable and I can't, for the life of me, get her hair to hold any sort of style. I've styled my small brushables and fashion style sized ponies just fine, but the large figure seems to have a different hair texture or something. the hair just always goes limp and flat no matter what I do. Has anyone successfully styled an 8 inch brushable's hair? I'd love to see pictures and get advice on how you did it!

I don't have any of those, but have you tried boiling hot water to set the hair? :)

Yep. That's how I usually do hair and even then it isn't working well at all. It's really strange.

Well if it doesn't take a boil perm-  it's probably not nylon hair.

I would probably set it very tightly in curls while still wet, and let them dry like that. It might not take a curl well, but that usually works even on seran (for a while at least)

If you are lucking out on the boil perm, then I would try a slow set as well. It wont hold forever but it will give you a nice wave which, for Rarity, may be enough of a style for you.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Yeah I'm not sure why the boil perm didn't work, tbh, maybe I didn't let it dry long enough. I thought it was dry, but maybe the inside was still damp. Perhaps I should just try again, but if not I'll try the slow set :)
