i've slowly been acquiring these girls so i figured i finally had enough to show off as a small collection ^w^

electra: i had this fantasy filly when i was a kid, and lost her since (probably in one of the few floods we've had). i swiped her up from ebay as soon as i saw her. out of nostalgia, she was definitely the one i was looking for the most and i'm so happy to have her! after putting new batteries in her i found out her light up mechanism still works like a charm

haley: she was a completely unexpected find. i literally found her at a fleamarket dumped on the ground with a bunch of barbie horses in a toy pile. when i asked how much she was i was told $3 which i happily handed over. (her lights work, too!)

thanks! they probably appear a little less dinged up in the photos than they are in real life (why is it so hard to find a pristine one of these gals?) but i don't love them any less.

What a lovely collection. I used to have 3 sets of the mini fillies as a child. I've been keeping an eye out for them but the minies seem to be harder to find.

thanks everyone! yes,  I have noticed how much harder the minis are to find. I ended up finding mine in a lot of unidentified toy horses on eBay,  so you just have to keep your eyes open!

surprisingly, these gals aren't fashion star fillies. they were their own line of toys from empire/marchon in the 90s called fantasy fillies. there's a whole site on these beauties here: http://www.fantasyfillies.com/

they did use the same molds as grand champions, so that definitely wouldn't surprise me!
