Ponygirl's Pony themed art

Hi I've been brushing up on my traditional art skills with My Little Ponies, I'm more of a realistic style of artiest but I'm having a go  at more of a cartoon like art, So I'm drawing some OC's of mine that I've adopted of of DA or mine that I came up with.
I'm having issues resizing pictures on photobucket so id a Mod can resize them so they're not huge pictures I'm be grateful. 

Sailor on OC that I came up with  I want to color him a blue but not a dark Navy blue, any suggestions with samples would be appreciated

I have to scan in some that I drew so I'll update this when I get that done, I'm drawing mostly G1, G3 and G4's

I love Sailor! Great idea and his symbol is fab.

Sailor looks great, his design could very well be official, I think! The symbol style and everything is very Hasbro.

What about a blue-green shade inspired by the ocean? Or sky blue? Do you already have ideas for his hair colour(s)? I suppose the anchor will be either grey or black, one of those would go well together with blue. Of course that takes away from the genuine MLP look... but I personally like natural colours like that on ponies, boys especially.

Un Named Guard Pony needs a name _ I don't know what to name him or who he's a guard of - His color could suggest Luna's but the Armour , I think, is Celestia's . Any suggestion would be appreciated. Pony

The un-named guard pony looks neat, I love his coloring! I also agree that the armor makes one think of Celestia.
