The Chatterboxes and those um ponies that had that secret compartment with the key and a surprise inside. What are those called again? Well I think they had a key. You could lift the saddle up. My cousin used to have one.

The Brush n Grows, especially the Princess ones. They're pretty unique with the gems in the foreheads, yet it seems like no one ever acknowledges them.

I think the baby brother ponies are a good example of this.  Big Brothers get discussed a lot, but the babies (with the exception of Ribbs, owing to his amazing dragon symbol, I think) go kind of ignored.

Yes! Maybe this is because it's hard to find her with nice hair. I had a tricky time finding mine.

I bought a lot for the other ponies in it but decided to keep her, too, once I saw her and cleaned her up. I like her combination of sky blue and yellow hair, and her pink streak (which was a surprise to me, as I'd forgotten that set has streaks in its hair). And her awesome green eyes. I want to change her name, though; reminds me too much of Baby Cuddles.

I think the G3.5s is the least represented gen on the boards. I don't like them personally but I'm sure there are people who do.

Europe has some truly stunning exclusives like Hopscotch, Gypsy, Splish, Splash, Splosh, the Sunbrights and Cascade but people seem more likely to go ga-ga over variants of widespread ponies, but other then brags I don't see much of them.

To be fair though, with hundreds maybe even at least a thousand ponies made over the 30 years, some sets/ponies are gonna get lost in the shuffle in lieu of fan-favorites

Yes, these too! The first boy ponies I ever had were some Baby Brothers, and I love them so much! More than the Big Brothers now that I have both to compare. They're adorable and still have the features of the males, but less clunky-looking, and I think their symbols are much nicer than the adult male ponies.

The anthro 3.5 Ponyville ponies are almost never mentioned, I didn't know they existed for the longest time. They're certainly different!
I also don't often see discussion of the G4 So Soft talking babies, I don't know anyone that collects them.
As for regular, non-gimmicky ponies go, I agree that Butterscotch is often overlooked.

One pony I don't see too much love for is Medley. I absolutely love her color scheme and symbols. She's probably my most wanted pegasus.

I also totally agree that Butterscotch belongs here. I'm not sure if it's because she's one of the original six or because her colors are slightly more "reall". It could be another reason all together. But she doesn't get enough attention.

Also Butterscotch - she is also very pretty indeed. Another one with similar colour hair and body. I do have the complete Gymkhana play set, I must get it out and take some pictures!

Mine's called Nanny Cuddles and she is the only MM pony I own with intact symbols.  I have this thing that she baby sits the baby ponies!

I ADORE Dream Beauties!  I have them all but I need to upgrade a few.  It's hard to find them in pristine condition because they're made of different materials and their paint scrapes off and their bodies stain, and those Trim & Grows never have their removable hair plugs anymore.
