Funko Pop Figurines on fashion doll bodies?
« on: February 26, 2015, 05:57:46 AM »
I recently started collecting those cute little Funko Pop figurines. I've always wondered if it was possible to remove their heads and put them on more poseable, dressable bodies(I was thinking Cutie Pops, La Dee Da, Beatrix Girls, and other small body big head lines.) Has anyone done this? How could I go about this process, and what bodies would work? I'm pretty sure their neck holes vary in size, too. Would this be impossible due to Pops only having swivel neck joints?

Oh wow! Thats a creative idea. I want to say they may actually be manufactured as a complete piece but I am not certain. Hopefully someone else can confirm one way or the other for you.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I have a POP, and their heads do move but I'm not sure if it'd fit on a doll body if you wanted to just pluck it off and stick it on. I can take pictures of mine's neck if you want, so you can get an idea of how it works and what it looks like?
It is only on a swivel joint but because I think you'd have to tweak it anyway to get it on a doll neck, you could probably make it move in any direction on a peg.

That's a cute idea!

Edit: Oh, pfft, my bad. You said you have POPs, you'd know what they look like then. xD

I think you'd have to do some alteration- the neck of the POP is super small
