They did that for me last time too, but I always get my order shipped to the store so it doesn't matter for me.  HT is a ten minute drive away and my orders never take more than 3 days to arrive.  Even after I move, I'll still be about 15 minutes away from an HT.

In any case, I agree with trying to get the free shipping applied to your next order if you don't think you'll do ship-to-store again!

Personally I would be as tempted to shout at Funko as at Hot Topic. Funko are the supplier and have no doubt committed to launch dates. As a manufacturer importing your stock you should understand and factor the import issues in to any date promised to your retailer. I have no doubt there is some hacked off buyers at HT not happy with Funko right now.

No kidding, I personally wanted to see what Shining Armor looked like in person but getting turned off by these delays. Cadance on the other hand I still really want if they ever get them.

I was going to skip out on pre-ordering them (also my two least favorite), but I got discount on top of discount for them, then I got Spike for cheap.  Couldn't really pass that up.

Someone spotted Cadance at a Hot Topic in California though (I think the HT posted it to their Instagram), so they should be around soon, both in-store and on the site.  I'm just hoping this isn't a case of a ton of stores getting their figures in before those of us who pre-ordered get ours...

So I JUST got another email from Hot Topic a few minutes ago.

Like the last email, it provides an apology for the delay, blames the delay on the port strike, and agreed to deduct cost of shipping.

The new information is that there is finally a ship date:

We’ll send your Princess Cadance and/or Shining Armor figure(s) by 4/10.

 Which means- the ponies finally arrived, and they anticipate it will take a couple of days to get them unpacked and shipped back out.

I imagine most if not all people who preordered these may have received or may receive the same message.

I only ordered one of each this time, so hopefully they won't mess it up too badly (like they did last time).

I kinda feel like I impulse bought the regular SA and haven't opened him yet. I may or may not keep him (I just do not like that he has that jacket.) He does look less goofy in person than in the stock photos though so I kinda like him more now.

Also their boxes look a bit overkill with a lot of empty space, probably to show off the new backgrounds?
