Do you play with your toys?

Do you play with your toy collections? Ponies? Dolls? Action figures? Plush? Any toys you have.

Like dress up, brush their hair, pose them, etc, or even playing actual games like you did as a kid?

I have a lot of toys, manymany ponies, a few dolls now, a lot of model and toy dragons, and other figurines, and always get this overwhelming urge to play with them. I can never bring myself to though because I'm afraid I'll feel ridiculous because I'm no longer a kid, even though age limits really don't exist on things. It's soo tempting sometimes.

But anyway.
Do you guys play with them?

It's not all crazy elaborate like with my barbie sets when I was younger, but sometimes I like to mess with my toys or make little stories with them. I like to battle my godzilla figures against each other! (And sometimes my dragons too  ) I think with ponies, I'd honestly play with them if I had playsets to go with them. However I don't own any due to lack of space, but I'd be messing around with them if I did. My boyfriend plays with my plush toys more than I do, he makes my favorite stuffed panda 'talk' when I'm feeling sad to cheer me up haha.
It's just a little harmless fun in my opinion! I admit it's rare when I do play with them, but I have fun when I do.

I don't at all. It seems like a lot of collectors here play with or brush their hair. Not me. I've always been a collector who just likes them to sit pretty on shelves and that's it.

I'm lucky...I have a daughter who loves to play ponies....and all kinds of things. And she is at the age where she wants me to play with her so I get to play ponies without feeling strange. 

I don't really like brushing the hair because I usually have it fixed the way I want it to look so I don't like to mess it up.

Can't say I do.  But I stopped playing with toys a little earlier than some, I just replaced them with video games/card games (I probably spent half my childhood playing Pokemon and Yugioh).  Honestly, I don't think I'd know what to do even if I tried.

Actually, thinking on it, there is one thing that probably counts.  Sometimes, I have an idea to do something with my toys that would make a funny video, kind of like what Immatoonlink used to do.

I do change their clothes, style their hair, and repose them but I don't really consider it playing. I do it to make them look better or because something is off and I need to fix it so it will stop bugging me. Oh and once in a great while I'll arrange them and take a photo but that's just photography.

^ This! Except, I like brushing them. We just brush them, and I ask her their names. Sometimes, she tells me if it's a Pegasus. We also play with the old Toy Story and Bugs Life plush I've had for many years. I act out scenes from the movies. She loves finger puppets, so of course we play with my Glo Friends, too.

I don't play with my ponies in the traditional sense, although I do occasionally mess about with them. Sometimes if I'm trying to get the attention of someone else living in the house, rather than walk into the room and address them, I'll open the door a crack and stick a pony's head round and hold it there until they notice the tiny levitating horse glaring at them in the doorway. That always gets a chuckle.

One of the disappointing things about growing up is that you just sort of....forget how to play. That said, I do enjoy brushing and styling my ponies' hair, and they do sometimes go for a little gallop across my desk
There is one other thing that sort of counts as playing: my friend and I really enjoy making up little stories about what the ponies are doing, but without acting them out or anything. For example, we have a theory that when we're not around, the ponies get out and have wild parties, or put on theatre productions, or go out for the day. I know, we're weird

I plan on giving a lot of it to my daughter so they will get some use. Sometimes it makes no sense to me why they just sit on the shelf.

Not in the same way I did as a kid.  But I still pose them, tidy their hair and feel a bit connected to them.

I don't play with mine at all. They're either in storage bins (cause I have so many) or displayed on my shelf in my room. They've kinda taken over my desk as well. Which I suppose is ok since I don't use it lol.
