Need help with Taobao!!- how to purchase?

Okay, I really hope this doesn't sound ignorant or anything.

But I want to start shopping on Taobao for certain items like fakie blindbags or plushies,
or possibly other things like that. But I'm not sure how to go about signing up for the site or if I really need to or not.

I tried to register, and it gave me a phone number to call- I'm apprehensive about doing so because I don't speak Chinese.

Is there anybody that could help me figure this out? Thanks so much in advance!

It's much easier to register with a third party service (ie http://taobaonow.com/)  - then you pick the items, pay for them through the service, and then pay for shipping once they reach your service.  Dealing directly with Taobao sellers can be tricky if they don't speak English (most of them)

Thanks for this tip! It's nice to see this is a little more streamlined now. I need to order a whole mess of fakie blindbags at some point very soon.

Sapphire, what kind of fakies are you looking for? I want to get some, but there are also some I really don't need because I'm getting them for customs. Maybe we can work together on an order.

Yes, I'm planning on getting like 5 boxes of that blindbag set. Those princesses would be pretty awesome too! Don't know if I'm motivated enough to get fakies though with all the Cadences I have lying around, unless they're really really really cheap.
