Question about prototype G3 Golden Delicious plastic

A follower on my IG account as asked me about the type of plastic the Prototype for G3 Golden Delicious was made with,
Her pony is made of very squishy plastic ,She wonder's if hers is indeed a prototype.

The prototype Golden Delicious?

This girl is lovely but she just looks like the regular old GD to me Plastic ages differently - sometimes it will go harder, sometimes softer. Sometimes it was manufactured harder or softer to start with at the point of production.

I have a few g3s who are swishy too, but they're not prototypes.
