Anything I should know about dismantling Shining Armor?

I popped a 'troll hair' Shining Armor's head off, and his neck plug is different from the other brushables. There's a tall, curved piece on top of the center 'bump' with a strip of cloth looped over it and going down into the center of the plug. Does this indicate anything else nonstandard about his construction, and is there an alternate method I need to take for tail replacement?

Means nothing, its just there for looks lol. You can retail him as you usually do. An if your hairing his head with actual hair just pop in all the holes with a needle!

Shining Armor really has a strange set-up inside.

So I've discovered over the last few days of taking him apart. Not too thrilled about having gotten completely inaccurate information.  Fortunately I was never planning a traditional re-tailing for him, so I should be able to work with him as he is without having to break out the power tools.
