Thanks for the kudos everyone! I had to show everyone on here since the hubby doesn't seem to appreciate it, lol.  I'm happy that I have so many people who are in support of the decision to re-curl, I was seriously having trouble deciding. I'm sure glad they turned out!

I find washing/brushing/styling pony hair extremely meditative, and so satisfying....I'm not the only one, right? 

Wanna come and recurl all my ponies too? So shiny... 

I have never been to Finland, but I hear that karjalanpiirakka is really good! Have one ready for me!

They look great! I sometimes tuck the very ends under and inside the curl like that if they are really impossible to work with. Although sometimes I do them like that and then go back 6 months later and try again
