Anyone else make snow animals during the winter? Show me! (I made a Snow Duck)

Just like the title says, has anyone else ever made snow animals during the winter? I'm sure some of you have! Please share the pics, I'd love to see what you've done!

I will start. This is my very first Snow Duck:

That is so cool! We hardly ever get snow where I live so don't get the chance to make snow animals! If I got snow I would probably make a snow cat!

I used to live in Florida, so I feel you! This is only my second winter in Sweden where I can play with the snow. My first year I was too cold to go outside much, lol!

I'd make a snow unicorn. If there were any snow... But winters have become incredibly hit or miss in recent years. For a couple of years we broke the record for the most snowfall in one season (one year and then the next topped it!) but then after that we didn't get more than three inches for the whole winter for a couple of years. So far this winter has been like that.  (and now the forecasted temperatures are in the 60s, almost 70. Gosh I hate where I live).

I made a snow Tuan-Tuan, I would have pics, but I'm pretty sure I didn't take any of it. However, this year I'm going to try something a little more ambitious, once we get a good packing snow that is.

I think a Snow Tauntaun is ambitious enough! lol! You better take a pic of what you make this time for sure, I know I'm intrigued!

Thats not true! Florida got a sprinkling of snow a few months back (a friend who lives there was caught in it).  And the schools were shut down because if it (we shook our heads in disbelief).

Granted it probably wasn't enough to make anything.

That's awesome!  My friends and I have a tradition of making at least one snow pony a year!  We started it in third grade at recess.  Unfortunately, we haven't done it in the past couple of years (as a group, anyway) but I keep trying to revive it as a tradition.  This year since everyone is off at college that's easier said than done though!  Maybe I'll make a solo snow pony.  We haven't had enough snow yet, though.

We would make them so elaborate!  Often, in our early days of making them at recess, it would take more than one day and we'd have to pray that the fifth graders wouldn't wreck it before the next day since they had the recess after ours.  Eventually we got clever and would kind of bury the half finished pony under some loosely packed snow that we could brush away the next day.  The fifth graders were less likely to destroy it if it looked like a less deliberate creation lol.  We always had to include a heart, too.  One of my friends was the "heart specialist" and they would literally chip a heart shape out of ice!  They were very precise about it, and sometimes it would take as long as the pony to get it perfect.  We'd always leave a little hole in the snow pony's chest to tuck it into.  Once we were absolutely crushed because when we looked in our hiding place for it the next day, it had been discovered and smashed against a tree.  And it had been almost done, too!  Those fifth graders were kind of rotten in retrospect lol.

No snow where I live - quite the contrast at the moment - hot, sticky, humid weather! If I had the opportunity though, I'd love to make a snow dragon!

and I envy you, we normally should have snow during this time of the year, but we haven't yet got any this winter. I seriously hope it won't be like 2 years ago when we had an almost springy winter, and then huge snowstorms all through the second half of March, and possibly even in early April

I remember I used to make small snowbirds from snowballs ever since I was a child. I loved rolling a snowball between my hands, but throwing it, not so much, so I usually put a head and wings on it instead. I'd love to have the opportunity to make one sometime soon.

Aww, thanks for all the cute snow stories everyone! ^-^ I definitely don't care for the cold weather, but new snow is fun to mess around with. Right now it has all melted and covered everything in slippery ice. Not so fun!
