Worried over a US transaction :( - SOLVED :D

Hello every ponies,

I'm looking for some moral support and advice. So I recently purchased 2 G2 Unicorns from someone in the US and they were quite pricey because they have their wings (which is very rare) but here's the problem, the package is crossing more or less the entire globe, and the package has no tracking number, and to top it all I've just found out that the ponies have been sent in a bubble wrap envelope  .

My question to you guys is : do I have any chance of receiving the package without any damage, will the wings be broken ?

I would imagine there is a chance that they will not be damaged    Unfortunately you won't know that till they arrive.

Was this an ebay transaction or an arena one? If ebay, and they arrive broken, then open a paypal claim. If they are damaged, the seller will have the choice to either give a partial refund, or you can send them back (with tracking!) for a refund. If it is approaching the 45 day mark, then open an item not received claim.

Whether or not they arrive damaged will depend on whether they were wrapped in padding before being shoved in the envelope, and whether or not the envelope gets something heavy set on top of it.

If it was an arena transaction, and they arrive broken, I would expect the seller to take them back and give a full refund, or give a partial refund on the difference in value between a wingless and a winged unicorn. Fragile and rare things should never go in a bubble envelope, ever!  Unless they offered you the option of insurance and you declined.

When did you buy the ponies? You said "recently." Does that mean a few days or a couple of weeks? Mail from the US to another country might take a long time. Did you ask the seller about tracking?

The ponies have been shipped yesterday from what she said on the french board.

Hello everyone,  like Miss Pompom said, the ponies were shipped out yesterday. The seller has told me I should receive them within the next 10 days.  I asked the seller for the tracking number and was told there was none. The transaction was a forum transaction. I was not offered insurance for the package.

Unfortunately  you'll have to wait and see what condition they arrive in to know what to do next.  Ponies with breakable parts such as plastic wings should never be sent in a bubble envelope - its too risky
 I do hope though that your ponies somehow arrive safely   Please let us know how it goes

If it helps I got g2 wings sent all the way from france to nz in a bubble bag and they arrived just fine I did not know they where coming in a bubble bag however it turned out to be no problem at all :p
Also postage to france will most properly take longer than 10 days, I have sent a few parcels there and most get there by the 2 week mark but some have taken 4 weeks, french customs are not the most consistent in the world to put it nicely.

Hello everyone,

Here's an update:

Ponies took 2 and a half days to arrive ( I actually can't believe it, it takes longer than that for national post )
Anyway, I'm really happy the ponies and wings arrived in perfect condition.  They had extra protection inside the envelope.

Photos will be up shortly, once the girls have had their beauty bath.
