Baby Sea Pony Hair Difference
« on: January 03, 2015, 08:07:11 AM »
Yesterday I rescued Baby Wavedancer from thrift!  My first sea pony.

I was just gonna clean her up and post in Brags.. but I noticed something...

Her hair is really different than normal pony hair.  It's way softer and silky.. it's almost like cotton???

Anyway, is that expected for sea ponies... or just something weird with this one... ?   and can I just use normal methods to detangle and comb?  (I can't get a comb through it atm)

That's normal for the watercolor baby sea ponies... it's like corn silk right?  :)  It was color-changing at some point so just be cautious and add extra conditioner.

Yup as others have said its just this set rather than all sea pony babies. The hair was originally very like normal hair but over time it breaks down and goes stringy or cottony depending on how it breaks down.

She is cute! Congrats on finding her.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Thanks!  Ok I'll proceed with my normal spa clean steps + caution.  :)

However, I would love it if all ponies had soft cottony hair!!!
