Names of their ponies

Hello, I would like to know something,
well, I have an annoying habit of renaming things, not all, but anyway, you already renamed a pony, I usually rename those special ponies know, like the desert blossom, which I call "mandacaru", a type of cactus, and the sweetsong, which I call "Bandolim" by his cutie mark, but anyway, you rename some of their ponies or this and my crazy?

For regular G4 ponies, we've been calling them by their names, with a descriptive modifier as needed- most notably "Rockstar Rarity" and "Scarface Pinkie" (she's a Neon Rainbow Power, but probably factory seconds- I got her from ebay and she arrived with a funny plastic/glue stripe down one side of her face)
I named all the hybrid fakies I've been trying to get so I could keep track of them- I have Celerity, Flutterpie, Pinkity, and Falsity on the way and trying to find out about blue unicorn apple pony Applelula is how I found this forum to begin with

I was a serious little girl...in every way but one. I had 2 Applejacks - one a shy pose and one a collectors pose. For some reason the collectors pose version was renamed to Tom. No idea why

As an adult I stick to their official names however but I think its adorable to rename them to suit you.

You're not crazy at all; coming up with names for ponies is incredible fun! I have a habit of naming a lot of things though, including plants, lamps, ornaments, even my cameras have names!

We named the electric piano- it's a 70's Cordovox named "Clive".
I also used to have an Amaryllis named Arthur- apparently I'm big on alliteration.

Almost all of my Barnacles have names, although I haven't given any new crew members names for a while. Off the top of my head I know I have The Captain, First Mate, Mohawk, Scurvy, Swashbuckler, Rusty, Pinky, Deckwabber... and I know a couple more are named but I can't recall them now. I paint their names on their hooves with white acrylic paint

I always name my blindbag fakies (one group is named after the PMMM crew) but other than that, I usually stick to given names. I'm not creative enough to rename all my ponies lol.

I think I've only once ever given a permanate new name to a toy: my most beloved childhood teddy. And even with that I wasn't too creative, I borrowed the name from a bear in a series of children's books.

My first pony was G2 Ivy, and I did call her "Thistle" when I was younger, since I didn't know her name. :p Aside from that, I just keep my ponies' names the same.

I do name nearly everything else, though! Especially plushies! <3

If something already has a name, I tend to keep it. Although I renamed a Noel cat plush to Sheba because she looked like a beloved cat of the sister who gave me the plush. And I remember changing the name of a long-haired black cat Ty plush from Onyx to Kneesaa, because she looked like an Ewok.

I'm another one who lets names stay with what they belong to (unless I was unaware of the name first).  HOWEVER, I do name almost everything in my life :-P  Cars, electronics, dress forms... all fair game to me!

I re-named my ponies as a kid. Some of them had theyre finnish name, but mostly, I re-named.

All of my Hasbro ponies keep their names, but since fakies don't have them I've had to come up with names for all of them.
