I really liked Cats Don't Dance when I was younger, tho sadly it never got a lot of attention and just kind of ended up in this flimsy DVD cases at the dollar store.

Cats Don't Dance was my absolute FAVORITE movie growing up!  When I saw this thread, it was the first one that popped into my mind.

I just finished watching a movie on LMN called Abducted and it was pretty good. There was a really hot guy in the movie, too, haha.

I liked Unbreakable too!  And Nostalgia Critic agrees with us:

And I liked The Mummy too.  I don't understand why it's considered bad.  Like Indiana Jones and Romancing the Stone (another great '80s movie), it has everything:  action/adventure, comedy, and a little romance.  What's not to like?

Lucky Luke and the Ballad of the Daltons. My grandparents had a copy of it when I was growing up and I was able to get a copy really cheap from Ebay. No one seems to have ever heard of this movie.

Horror movies in general. It doesn't seem to be a popular genre. Some favorites would be The Human Centipede and its sequel, the Saw series, The Collector, The Collection, Wolf Creek, to name a few.

Horror just isn't very popular. :/

I absolutely love that movie! Fantastic from start to finish.

I don't know if it counts, but I love The Black Cauldron.

These are some older movies that I really enjoy that for the most part seem to be unheard of when I've spoken with others.

The Whole of the Moon 1997 - A New Zealand teenager and a homeless tomboy become friends during their stay in a hospital's cancer ward.
An Unexpected Family 1998 - A single careerist (Stockard Channing) finds her maternal instinct when her irresponsible sister dumps two children on her.
The Bumblebee Flies Anyway 1999 - Boy wakes up in a hospital with amnesia and begins to remember that he was in a car crash.  What he doesn't know is that he is a cancer patient in project Bumblebee
Bye Bye Love 1995 - With varying degrees of success, recently divorced friends Dave, Vic, and Donny are trying to move on with their lives.
Foxfire 1996 - Based on the novel
Hackers 1995 - A teenage hacker finds himself framed for the theft of millions of dollars from a major corporation.

Horror is my genre, but I won´t go on that rant now :-)

One movie that I think was severely underrated is Death Proof. According to me it´s up there with Tarantinos best, and I was totally shocked when I heard that people actually got up and left the theatre, they thought it was so bad.

I still need to see Death Proof, as it's probably one of the only Tarantino films I haven't seen.  My fiance also agrees that it's one of his best!
