i found a group of ponies at the thrift store recently that not only contained a lovely baby stockings, but this rainbow curl pony stripes. her symbols and blush were literally perfect and she had no marks on her, except her factory curl was a disaster.
i know some people are sticklers for preserving it, so i have to say i was a bit scared to go through with recurling. i constantly wondered if i was destroying my beautiful stripes value. i decided to record the process, just in case i really screwed up, so i'd at least remember what happened.
alright so here she is pre-wash/brushing. i'd already done her tail, because it was so beyond gone it needed recurled for sure. the blue section in her mane was actually pretty tidy, but her yellow streak had separated and her pink streak was actually one giant mat disguised as a curl:
