The standard figure quoted seems to be $40. But that's along the lines of you should eventually get a buyer if you start an auction/BIN at that number. If you start an auction at some lower number, it's not guaranteed to get that high.

it would be a private sale, so what do you think a fair price would be instead of sending to an auction?

I would certainly agree with the $40 for her. She has sold lower than that recently but I think that more a bargain for the buyer and unfortunate for the seller rather than confirmation she has halved in price.
