Package from Mexico - did you get my Cotton Candy? UPDATE

UPDATE - Ebay refunded me in full, after never hearing from the seller.  The seller then messaged me immediately after that asking me to please be patient, as he did mail the pony.  I KNOW he mailed the pony, him mailing it isn't the problem.     The problem is he didn't mail it TO ME.  If for some reason it does show up ay my house obviously I'll resend the full amount, but I'm not holding my breath. 

This is actually the second time I've had a problem with this seller, I realized.  Both times he's shipped about a month after I paid, though the last time I did get the pony.  It was shipped to my address, obviously.   



I bought a pony from ebay in early November.  It was coming from Mexico so I knew it would take a little while.  About a month later I checked to see what the tracking would show, and saw he'd shipped the pony nearly a month after I ordered it!  There was a tracking number given, but it looked wrong and when I clicked it there was no information.  I realized he'd left the MX off the end of it, and when I plugged that in it showed as having been shipped and had just gotten to Customs.

Today when I checked the status it shows as having been delivered today in Waterloo, Illinois.  I live in Oklahoma!  I immediately sent him a message asking about the shipping and to see if he'd check his records.

Long story short, if any of you lovelies lives in Waterloo, IL and happens to get a surprise Auriken Cotton Candy in the mail, would you be so kind as to let me know? 

I swear I have the worst luck with sellers from Mexico.  Unless they're exin_goblin, because that guy is awesome.

Although maybe it could still show up?- last week I mailed something 2-day priority. 2 days later it showed up as "out for delivery" an entire state away from where it should have been. The buyer thought I had sent it to the wrong person at first. I called the post office and after being on hold for 30 minutes, they opened a case for me and confirmed that yes, for some reason it had definitely been mailed to the wrong state. She speculated the label had been folded or damaged.  HOWEVER later that SAME afternoon it was actually scanned at the right address and the package was there when she got home! 

So I think what happened was that the letter carrier manually input the wrong number or something... so I think that happens.  But it is not a good sign that your package shows as delivered already

I will however say that the post office has a LOT of temporary, part time people they hired recently, including my own dear friend who I will tell you quite frankly has the absolute most shocking work ethic of any person I have ever known in my life.  Needless to say, I haven't been sending much first class lately (unless it requires a delivery signature).

I hope your box shows up Skeen!

I don't know, the seller hasn't responded to my question yet (though I may have accidentally opened a claim on him by asking the question?  ) and ebay says I have to wait til the 22nd to do anything else.

It's nothing earthshattering, I just really wanted an upgrade for my poor, nasty Cotton Candy, lol!

I bet so, he sold two Mexican ponies the same day.  Wish I could get in contact with whoever bought that Banana Surprise!

Nope.  No response to my question through eBay and eBay won't let me escalate til the 22nd.

If you are not able to get your Mexican Cotton Candy, I have one I would part with. It's for sure not yours because I am in Switzerland.
