I've not picked up a single book.  Reading is just so boring to me.

You just need to find a book that's centered around something of interest to you!

Im not sure o.o  I haven't had time to really get into a good book this year--but I do love reading :)

I prefer real books, too.  I need to actually feel something solid in my hand and physically turn the pages.

I've lost count of how many books I've read this year... lots I think is the answer. :)

Once when I was still in school I decided to keep a record of every book I read that year so I could answer people who asked how many books do you read. The answer was over 2000. The number has gone way done as life gets in the way now buts it's still above 100.

I always have a book on the go, as soon as one is finished another one is picked up!

I was totally against e-readers until I got a kindle and I absolutely loved it, it's totally different to holding a paperback and for me a different experience. Often I will be reading a physical book and have a kindle book on the go at the same time. I absolutely love reading!

I love reading, I just finished 2 books that I got my birthday. In the process of rereading a Stephen King book while I pick out something new to read :)

I prefer real (is that the right word?) books vs an ereader or online. I tried using a kindle and I got the worst headaches whenever I would read for more than 15 minutes :(

I read 5-9 books this year, a blend of fiction and non-fiction.  I also read a lot of scientific articles...but they don't count, ha ha!

Here's some I remember:
Let's explore diabetes with owls
Quiet
The Pretender: rebirth
A couple dog behavior books, can't recall titles, and...

I just finished "The Last Policeman" trilogy.  It is a mystery series with a very interesting setting.  The last book was so engrossing that I read it non-stop!

I think for me it's that I'm such a slow reader (due to a learning disability), plus I have a horribly short attention span.  Reading has always been more of a burden for me, though I've tried to find different kinds of stories.  I *wish* I could enjoy reading though.  I did get through about half of Memoirs of a Geisha and enjoyed what I managed to get through.

Do you like kids/young adult books? The Animorphs series is really fun, fast-paced, and each book is rather short. I started rereading them last year but got distracted. It's not exactly classic literature, but I like 'em.

20+ books for me.  Since having my son I haven't had as much time for reading but I still managed to get through about a book a week, depending on the size :D

i obsess over books!!
i love reading, listening and well just absorbing them anyway i can.
i have 5 books i'm actively reading right now. 26 books i'm passively reading.
and over 150 books i have read/listened to this year.
(i get to listen to audio books while i work, so according to my other job, i cheat.  :P )
i know some people don't think audios are really books, but i think they are amazing.
they add dimension, if you have the right reader, they are not "easier" because with an audio, you can't chose your pace. where with a book you can skim the parts that you think are boring, skip ahead, etc.
i love reading books too, but audios are my favorite. love um!
i'm a super slow reader, but i can make a custom, sew a plush and play with my dog, all while listening to a good book.

Let's explore diabetes with owls
A couple dog behavior books, can't recall titles
Here's some of my reading list (including the dog behavior, trainer in training after all.) Mostly I listen to podcasts and don't have much time for sitdown reading.

I did reread some of my books on cults, mostly on Aum Shinrikyo of Tokyo gas bombing fame, from my senior thesis in college. A collection of accounts by survivors called Underground by Haruki Murakami (excellent author in his own rite and one of the few fiction writers I enjoy) is one of those books you can reread a lot because each individual story is so vivid and horrifying.

Next year I'm planning on hunting down some more from my favorite author, Edogawa Rampo. The drawback is most of his work hasn't been translated from Japanese. Challenge accepted.

If you guys haven't read 'In Defense of Dogs' by Dr John Bradshaw, I highly recommend it. :)
