What's The Difference Between Genuine MLP Hair and Just Nylon Hair?

While brainstorming my next custom, I looked up on Dollyhair.com picking the her colors out and noticed there's Nylon hair and Genuine Nylon hair for MLPs...so I'm thinking "What's the dang difference?  " the little paragraph blurb states that Hasbro also purchases from the same manufacturer for the pony hair on both the Nylon hair page.

Can just Nylon hair can't take heat or something? (I tend to flat iron my ponies hair on the lowest setting possible) or the texture or what?

Same stuff, just different lengths.  And the MLP page lists color match stuff as well.  Personally, I prefer the just nylon page because of the way it is formatted.  MLP page is all one long page, one color per "line".
